Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-04-14

By creating an account, uploading GPX files, or using RUNDA, you agree to these terms.

Service scope: upload GPX projects, browse/search public routes, download GPX files on supported tiers, and rate/comment on projects where your tier allows it. No social profiles, chat, or follow features are included.

You retain ownership of uploaded GPX files and grant us rights to host/process/display them to run the service.

If you personalize another user’s GPX, edits are stored only on your own project copy and do not alter the original uploader’s project.

Prohibited use includes malware, illegal/infringing content, and abusive/fraudulent behavior. We may remove violating content/accounts.

Plans: Free, Core, Runner, and Legend each have separate limits for saved routes, uploads/downloads, publishing, Route Services, and RUNDA Simulate. Current plan details and prices are shown on the Pricing page. Billing is processed by Stripe.

Privacy Policy

We process account/auth data, including email/password, Google, Apple, or Strava identity data when you use those sign-in methods, GPX/project data, usage/security data, and billing-linkage data from Stripe to operate and secure the service.

Usernames are visible on ratings and comments. Ratings, comments, and download counts remain visible as project quality signals.

We use third-party processors such as Stripe, hosting/auth providers, Google, Apple, and Strava as needed. Strava processes authentication data when you choose Strava sign-in or linking.

Depending on jurisdiction, users may request access, correction, deletion, or portability of personal data via running@runda.run.

This Cookie Policy explains how Runda.run uses cookies and similar browser storage, including localStorage, on runda.run and related RUNDA web tools.

Cookies and similar technologies store or read information on your device. Some are necessary for the website to work. Optional analytics and marketing storage are off unless you choose them in Project Consent.

Necessary cookies and storage

Purpose: keep login sessions active, protect forms and REST requests, remember cookie choices, support secure Stripe checkout when you start payment, and keep core route tools working.

Examples: WordPress login/session cookies, WordPress test/security cookies, RUNDA consent storage runda_consent_v1, and planner localStorage for route drafts, custom stops, custom POIs, planner settings, and unsaved route points.

Legal basis: necessary to provide the requested service, perform account/security operations, or protect the site. These cannot be disabled in the consent panel.

Retention: session cookies expire when the browser session ends or after logout. Remembered login and route-tool storage may remain until you clear browser storage, change the setting, or the browser removes it. Consent choices are refreshed after 12 months.

Analytics and statistics

Purpose: understand how visitors use RUNDA, which pages and flows need improvement, and how product performance changes over time.

Possible data: page URL, approximate time, browser/device type, interaction events, referrer, and technical performance data. We aim to use aggregated reporting where possible.

Legal basis: your consent. Analytics stays off unless you enable it or choose Accept all.

Retention: depends on the analytics provider if activated. We will list active providers here before using them for optional analytics.

Marketing and personalization

Purpose: measure campaigns, understand which messages helped users discover RUNDA, support future sponsor/ad reporting, and personalize product messaging.

Possible data: campaign source, ad or referral identifiers, page visits, signup or checkout events, and browser/device information.

Legal basis: your consent. Marketing and ad measurement stays off unless you enable it or choose Accept all.

Retention: depends on the marketing provider if activated. We will list active providers here before using them for optional marketing.

Third parties

Stripe may set cookies or similar storage when you open checkout, billing portal, or payment-related pages. Stripe processes payment and billing data under its own technical and legal requirements. RUNDA does not store full card details.

Hosting, WordPress, security, and authentication providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site.

How to change or withdraw consent

You can change your choices at any time by opening Cookie settings. Withdrawing optional consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before it was withdrawn.

You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser. If you block necessary cookies or localStorage, login, checkout, route drafts, and planner tools may stop working correctly.

Current optional provider status

RUNDA's Project Consent layer is prepared for optional analytics and marketing categories, but optional tracking should not run until the category has been accepted and the relevant provider is enabled in production.

Content and Report Policy

Users can report GPX uploads for abuse, safety issues, or invalid content. Reported content may be reviewed, restricted, or removed while moderation is in progress.
